ONE DAY I LEARNED THE FEAR OF GOD…AND NOW I FEAR FOR EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF GOD AND TAKES IT LIGHTLY, DISRESPECTING HIM AND HIS NAME–HERE’S MY TESTIMONY:
I was home alone one day reading about GOD and the presence of GOD came into my room. GOD did not speak to me, but I immediately went down on the ground prostrate and there are NO WORDS to describe what it’s like to be in the presence of a HOLY GOD. I mean you think you’re an okay person, but at that moment, it was like GOD was taking me to HIS woodshed for a spanking. I CRIED MY EYES OUT LIKE A BABY—I felt so dirty and evil before a HOLY GOD. I cried and cried at my filthiness. What I experienced is hard to describe, I’m not even sure I understand what happened totally—it was life-changing. I realized that GOD is on another level way beyond our comprehension and understanding. Now when I am in line at the grocery and I hear people blaspheming GOD or I read about some horrible crime, I shudder at the thought that people will face GOD and what it will be like for them if they do not have the Blood Covering of JESUS CHRIST to shield them from the HOLY ANGER OF GOD. After I wept and wept, GOD had me open my Bible and I immediately turned to Isaiah 6:5 in which Isaiah sees GOD and says HE is ruined at the presence of GOD:
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
At this point, I FULLY understood what Isaiah was describing.
Next, I turned immediately to Hebrews 12, the scripture that tells how GOD chastens those HE loves. But I will never forget what happened to me that day and after it was over there was this feeling of electricity in the room, just like the sensation you feel in the air after a thunderstorm comes through and the air smells clean—that’s what my room seemed like….
Hebrews 12:5-10 (KJV): And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness
Then GOD gave me a vision: I saw myself as a little child walking to church alone which really happened to me, and I understand the meaning was that GOD was showing me that HE was with me even then.
Now after this event happened there was a strong sensation of the smell in the air that you experience after a rainstorm passes through and the air smells so clean and fresh. That’s what my entire bedroom smelled like.
Later on, I heard of the story of a little child who’d had an encounter with GOD and one day she was sitting on her mother’s lap after a thunderstorm passed through and she said to her mother: that smells like JESUS.
MEANING OF FEAR OF THE LORD:
Halleluyah. Amen. Yes, I know what you experienced. One day, on a Saturday afternoon while I was having quiet time, there was a “flash” on my phone screen. It quite disturbed me because I could not see any message. I jumped up and came to my senses in the living room, still shaking, I heard His soft voice saying… where did you want to go, and what did you want to do? (My Lord and my God, how Great You are!)
